Domenico Busan Copy, Robbie #13
Made from locally sourced black cherry for the carved back, scroll, and sides, the top wood is eastern white pine floorboards from a local house built in 1785, and the neck is sugar maple. It has a typical Venetian sound quality: a full, round bottom end but with a complex and dense mid-range and a clear, open top. This bass was entered into the makers competition at the 2019 ISB Convention at Indiana University and won a Certificate of Merit for Tone.
